Frank Breuer  “I love supporting people master challenges and create the life they desire. It is absolutely possible!”

Frank Breuer was born in Germany and moved to Australia with his family in 2008. His passion stems from a truely humanistic view that people always want and strive for the best. He believes that everyone is capable of being a healthy and happy individual. He has been working as a bilingual Clinical Psychologist and a Supervisor in his own practice since 2004. He began to work with clients suffering from anxiety in 1995. Since, he has been working in hospitals, community services and private practice. In this 20 years of practice, he developed a special interest in the connection between family relationships, trans-generational trauma and individual suffering.

Clients can benefit from short- and longterm psychotherapy and counselling for a wide range of mental health concerns. Frank’s approach is flexible and based on a wide range of therapy schools (details below). Clients and colleagues value Frank’s high level of integrity, expertise and loyalty in life. His calmness and safe nature are much appreciated by clients.

Formal training

Frank’s initial training  totals 11 years with a degree in Clinical Psychology at university and a five year specialist training program in Behavioural Therapy for adults. Since, he continues to train and develop adding up to over 1,400 professional training hours. He has received in-depth training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic Constellations, Clinical Hypnosis and different schools of couples therapy. Since 2015 he developed his business skills with mastermind trainings.

He has completed trainings

  • Completion of 6 years Masters in Clinical Psychology (Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany)
  • Completion of 5 years Post-graduate Psychotherapy training for adults in Cognitive Therapy (KLVT, Cologne, Germany)
  • Fully licensed as Psychotherapist in Germany (Approbation) since 2003, Full registration with APHRA since 2009
  • Specialist Clinical Psychology Provider with Medicare
  • Full Member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists
  • APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) approved Supervisor for Clinical Psychology Registrars
  • Accreditation as Family / Systemic Constellator (DGfS), Member of International Systemic Constellation Association (ISCA)
  • Training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Therapy, Schema-Therapy, DBT, ACT.

  • Running a full time private practice in Germany 2004-2008 (Short- and long-term therapy under Public Health Funding)
  • Establishing New Paths Psychology in March 2010
  • Family and Pregnancy Counselling in a Welfare Centre in Dortmund, Germany
  • Longterm alcohol rehabilitation. Fliedner Hospital, Ratingen, Germany.
